Model Airplanes

We are working on updating Chatham's room. He got a new bed (pictures to come) and Devin has been building model planes with him to hang from the ceiling.

There are a total of three airplanes and hopefully a helicopter will join the fleet soon.

Planting a Dragon Tree

Another fun Hobby Lobby experiment we got was a Dragon Tree. Chatham picked this one because once the tree blooms you can cut the leaves and it bleeds. "Like real people blood when I get boo-boos" says Chatham.
Everything you need comes in the little package and it was super easy! They had 2 or 3 other kinds of plants that I will be going back and getting so my window sill doesn't look so bare.
We planted three seeds, added 2 tbsp of water and now we wait..... Unfortunately I didn't read the box in the store and therefore didn't know it takes TWO MONTHS to sprout! The good news is you close the egg and don't have to water it for those two months, so I cannot kill Chatham's tree.

Spider Balls

It has been SUPER hot in our neck of the woods, so we have been finding fun inside activities. During a trip to Hobby Lobby we hit up the "experiments aisle".
We found these cool things, called Spider Balls- they look like little green rocks at first.
But drop them in some water and the green flakes off-  and they start to glow and get slimy and colorful.
Then if you leave them over night they become these cool squishy little balls.
Chatham loved it and for only $2.99 (for 3 batches of rocks) We will definitely do it again!

Independence

We spent the Fourth on the lake, for the fourth annual Timmerman/Cadwallader/Donley shindig. (Thanks Big Dan and Big Mama!!!) Chatham loved the boat, but only went out on the jet ski for about ten minutes, He also LOVED sitting in Big Dan's Mule (which C calls the Orange Gator) and blowing the horn.
Harper spent time swinging and napping on the dock and then went on two boat rides. She slept through the fireworks, but didn't mind the life jacket too much.
This weekend has brought on much independence for Miss H. She has two bottom teeth just trying to pop through, is now sitting up for quite sometime on her own and LOVES to roll around on her play mat or even just a blanket, as long as there are tons of toys around her.
Harper is eating so much food it's crazy- nearly 3 oz. 3 times a day. So far she's had apples, bananas, pears, peaches, mango, and blueberries. Sweet potatoes, squash, green beans, and today she tried puffs but spit out the third one we gave her, so maybe we'll try again in about a week.

Size 2 diapers are still what you're wearing, but I think we'll be moving up to 3's once you finish this box. You cat nap through the day, but crash about 8 and we wake you up at 10 for one last bottle and that gets you through the night until about 6 AM. This is a huge difference from your brother, his morning usually started at 4:15.

Where to go from here

Blogging has taken a backseat in my life at the moment. I will return with lots of happy moments and memories with my kiddos and my family.
In the meantime I need some time, time to pray, love, mourn, and heal. I am losing my best friend. My heart is breaking into a million pieces and I have to find a way to go on without a vital part of my heart.
Please pray for my Aunt as she loses a daughter, pray for our Curly as he loses a wife, my mom as she loses a niece.... Mostly Pray for Our Ali.... Our precious love that has fought such a courageous battle, has touched so many lives, and will NEVER EVER be forgotten.

I will be spending as much time with her as I can in the next few weeks and THAT ( along with being a mommy) is all I care to do at this time.
