A Hodge-Podge

Things have been SO busy lately I haven't had time to upload the pictures from my camera- but before I get too far behind here is what I got off my camera today

This weekend we took Chatham to the Harvest Festival at Murray's Mill- it was H-O-T so we didn't' stay long- but C enjoyed the view from Daddy's shoulders.


The weekend before Devin went to the Panther's game with Joe.

They aren't doing so well (0-3) but Devin still stands by his team!

Chatham has REALLY gotten into hats.....AND loves "Utbawl" (football) and will throw his hands up and say "ITDOWN" (touchdown)

So we stopped by the Utbawl department at Dick's Sporting Goods the other day.

These next two pictures are just GREAT- I love these guys SO MUCH!!!!

Final Pool Party

The final day of swimming for us this year ended up being Harrison's 3rd birthday party!!!

Chatham felt a bit more daring than previous trips to the pool- he went off the diving board ALONE........TWICE!!!

His first Shiner

Here it is folks- Chatham's first black eye!

While eating dinner at Chili's Chatham REFUSED to sit in his high chair and while standing with Daddy in the booth decided he wanted a knife off Daddy's plate. When I took the knife away from him he throw a FIT and lunged for the knife and smacked his face on the edge of the table.

Poor Kid- but I hope he learned his lesson!!!

Three Years Ago Today.....

Was a GREAT GREAT Day!

High Seas Adventure

Chatham went to VBS too- here are some of the highlights of him in the nursery.

By the end of the week he could say bit (aka boat) and any book was now a bible.

Chatham also now says AMEN after any prayer.

Back in July we had Vacation Bible School at Church. I agreed to lead the 2-3 year old class....BOY was it a challenge- I think God was testing me- I really hope I PASSED! I enlisted the help of Suzy and Lisa (Lisa was out a few days with strep- AND please pardon how rough I look in this picture, working 10 hours a day and then going straight to the church takes a toll on ya)

We had TWENTY-TWO kids in our class!!! Of course on picture day only 16 showed up- so this group looks relatively calm (HAHA)

We enlisted the help of some GREAT people- Pam, Teena, and Kathleen were lifesavers! And we got additional help from the youth- Megan and Parke!!!!

We were able to do some GREAT things with the kids that week though, and I really think they learned a lot- the picture above is of the kids putting ACE bandages on Suzy to demonstrate how God helped heal the man that couldn't walk.

Fred saw how hard it was to teach the lesson and sometimes give up play time- so he invited us down to the rec area for some parachute fun (and grape slushies for the adults!!)

We learned that God helped guide Paul through the storms at sea. So we made our own storms and had races (boys vs. girls) using Chatham's kiddie pool, some toy boats and straws. It was a close race, but the girls beat the boys 7-6!

All in all our High Seas Adventure was a success and I think our kiddos took away a lot of knowledge of how God works in their life! What a GREAT experience for me too! A few weeks after VBS Devin, Chatham and I officially joined First United Methodist Church! What a GREAT Church family to be a part of!!!

Chatham's Potty

Chatham got a package today.... it's his very own potty!!!

No we don't have ANY plans to start training this early, but I thought the duck potty was SO cute- and I thought we should go ahead and put it in the bathroom so when the time does come to start training he doesn't get freaked out being asked to sit on a duck's face! haha

Ready, Set, RUN!

I have decided to sign up for the Pumpkin Run- it's an 8k that is the day before Halloween- that gives me 7 weeks and 3 days to prepare.

So here goes nothing- I am using the 30 day shred as my "strength training" for the "8k in 5 week" training schedule I have printed.

So here goes nothin'!!!!!!!

I'm in trouble

Chatham is already hiding in corners with little girls-
