Yesterday Chatham got tubes. Sadly I was so nervous and then excited to see him that I left my camera in his backpack and have no pictures of his sweet cheeks sticking out of his hospital gown. (Well his diaper more so than his cheeks)
He was in and out in about 9 minutes- it took longer for him to wake up then it did to do the surgery. He was happy as a clam when he woke up and I was right there with a sippy of milk for him. He played peek-a-boo with nuse Jenna- and was the only kid who didn't cry in recovery (Way To Go Chatham!!!)
My wisdom teeth didn't go quite so smoothly- after 4 1/2 hours in the chair getting all four cut out I ended up back at the dentists MOMENTS after Chatham got tubes to have my 'holes packed'- that's right TWO dry sockets! I got some good sleep last night and should be a bit less puffy tomorrow.
Thanks for all the prayers and calls!

Devin's Birthday
Chatham doesn't have money yet- so he jumped out of a box as a present for Daddy!
Devin and I went to Charlotte for the night to celebrate Overcash's 30th Birthday, and hang out with Katie and Chris.
Overcash had an AWESOME cake of New Zealand and he is pointing out where he lives there.
Chris and Katie enjoying some Leo's (a con queso reciped the Overcash's have- it's a family secret and SO tasty!!)
Saturday we walked around downtown before having lunch at Fox and Hound.
Hope you enjoy being 26 honey!!!!

It's time to comment!
So- we have almost reached 15 months....
That is the magically age when people say you can start timeout!! Hooray (because we have a "spirited" one on our hands)!!!
I need ideas- did you use a chair, a rug, a stool....
My child may have to be restrained- I'm thinking of using the booster seat, but moving it away from the table as to not be associated with food during time out.
They say 1 minute for every year of age....so why is 15 months not 1 minute but 2??
When did you start time out? How long did it take for he/she to catch on?

Cousin Thomas came to visit!
This weekend Cousin Thomas came to play!
All strapped in and ready to ride!
We went to the library and got LOTS of books!
But Chatham had more fun with the puzzles and rearranging the kids furniture.
We did get in a few stories before it was time to go! (I read "The Lorax" to the boys- it's one of my favorites!!!)

hair cut and FOOD!
It is hard to get Chatham to hold still these days (even while strapped into his booster seat at the table) but here is my attempt to show off his new hair cut.
Also you can see that feeding himself with a spoon is a MUST at mealtime! Good thing I'm not a neat freak- this kid is a maniac and flings food just about everywhere BUT his mouth. But he is getting better.

Hokie Country
We took our annual girl trip this weekend. Katie (my best friend from college) and I go to a different college town to hang out since we only get to see each other about once or twice a year other than this trip!
This is one of the many Hokies (a neutered Turkey as we learned) that are decorating the town. No two look alike. I have plenty more picture to come, but playing with Chatham took top priority when I got home from my weekend away!!
I did take Chatham to the doctor today for his 15 month check up (a little early but it's the only way we could get his tube consult moved up) So we go this Thursday to see Dr. Greisson at Carolina ENT to schedule the appointment! On a happier note C is a happy healthy growing boy- 24 lbs. 12.5 oz. (down a bit, but he is VERY active, so it's normal) and 32 inches tall!!!

words, phrases....soon he'll be graduating!
Where has the time gone? Did I miss something?
I have been saying things like "chair", "dog", "book" and "table" around Chatham so he'll pick up on some words and learn what certain things are. All I ever got in response was "HUH". But I continued.
So this morning while Chatham was playing with some Tonka Cars from Gram (THANKS!) he pushed on off the table. I said "Uhoh, the car rolled off the table." C- "UH.....OH" Me-"Can you go get it?" C- walks around the table and as he bends over says "I go'd em"
WHAT?!?!?! I expected "car" or "table" not I GOT IT!
When did that little booger learn phrases- I bet he thinks Mama is slow!!!
